About Amicitia
Amicitia American School was started by an American couple, Jim and Michelle Hasbrouck, who had a vision for offering an American style education to the Moroccan and international community of Fés, Morocco. After forming a team of educators and business people, the school opened in the fall of 2004 with about 70 students representing 12 different nationalities.
Amicitia American school of Fés exists to provide a tri-lingual American style education characterized by excellence in academics, technology and the arts for pre-k through high school for the children of Fés, honoring beautiful, traditional aspects of the culture of Fés while preparing students to impact Morocco and the entire world.
Amicitia employs excellent, qualified teachers. Our core subject teachers are certified, experienced, and educated in the the United States of America. Moroccan, French and Arabic teachers are all certified and trained in their respective areas of expertise. The class sizes are normally 10-15 students per class which allows for substantial amounts of individual student attention.
Amicitia has an emphasis on the arts. From an early age, our students study two music composers and an artist and his/her works each year. In our after school Renaissance Program, students can choose from a variety of classes such as ballet, Tae Kwon Do, art, drama in French, English and Spanish, guitar and choir. See our News page for our latest Renaissance Schedule.
Amicitia is a great place. We strive to create an environment where students grow and develop to positively impact the world around them, come join us!
